I'm the Shadows on the Wall

Hello guys! I am so tired and I don't feel like writing anything interesting, I must admit. But I'll try still. Today I was at drawing classes, as usual I am every tuesday. It seems like I have this autumn laziness phase again. Shortening day makes me want to sleep REALLY too much! But always when new year is starting I find more motivation to get on with learning and doing stuff I should. Let's hope I will be prepared to my spring exams. Tomorrow I'm going to work and I plan to find time before to go for something sweet or coffee.

Today I have on myself second hand sweater, Dr. Martens boots and Glovestar skeleton hand pin. Also jeans from Blend. That is all I can name here. I'm also wearing basic black and white makeup with black Rimmel eyeshadow, white Bourjois eyeshadow and Clinique mascara.

This sweater is fantastic, It's soooo warm and comfy. It's below knee length and it has a hood, so I can hide in it completely. It's gonna be my basic sweater to wear this winter for sure.

I ended reading Neil Gaiman's American Gods today. What can I say, Mr. Gaiman never ceases to amaze me. The story is about guy named Shadow who is just getting out of prison. He wants to live without any crimes, just normal peaceful life with his wife. But, a day before setting free, he receives a message about wife's tragic death. He is broken and he doesn't know where to go. Later he meets a strage man who call himself Wednesday. He offers him a job. Shadow ends up travelling through North America and meeting interesting people, gods, gnomes and undefined creatures. The reality seems to mix with dreams and fantasy in natural way. Mr. Gaiman offers a story that contains a lot of cruelty and darkness, yet it still seems to have that touch of childish imagination and naviety. I would highly recommend reading this book, especially for those who already have fallen in love with this author writing style.
The song of the day is like that because it's so easy when you're evil.

Anyway, do you have some nice books worth reading? I'm really looking for new stuff!

A Broken Dream

Hi guys. A lot of things has happened since I wrote last time. I started new job in fast-food restaurant. The first two days were pretty exhausting, but I have nice co-workers and boss, so I think it won't be horrible. I really had to start working because I wanted to have experience before studies. Also I had a lot of free time and I'm kind of person that likes doing strict job, but dislikes administer her own time. So if I'm at home and I don't have work I just become lazy...

Today's outfit I wear for my drawing classes includes blouse from Morgan, jeans from some kind of cheap shop and shoes from Jennifer&Jennifer. Don't you agree that this blous make figure look really good?

I'm having red and black makeup today. Red eyeshadow is from Inglot and black from Rimmel. I like Inglot eyeshadows and I hope I'll buy soon black one from this brand because Rimmel eyeshadow really seem not to last long on skin, unfortunately...

Oh, and I bought new scarf in second hand shop. It's made from artificial wool and it's super warm.

Today's song is The Mission- Dance on Glass. I actually have a kind of The-Mission-day because my dad found their full discography and we were listening to it all the morning.

I'm going to see exibiton in Warsaw National Museum with guide on Saturday. I believe it would be fascinating. I also will meet my friends. Hope you have a nice day!

Feeling Alive

I don't like being sick, but I like this feeling right when I become well again. It's like being able to do a lot of things planned before. I spent last few days playing games, drawing, coughing and sneezing. Today I'm going out for the first time in this week.

I'm having purple makeup today. It's no suprise, this is probably the most worn colour on my face.

I suck at self-timer photos so you must excuse weird face and lack of boots here.
Top is from Tally Weijl, skirt unknown.

You can barely see from photo up there, but these are my today boots. They are from Jenny Fairy. I usually prefer real leather instead of fake one, but I must admit this footwear is exceptionally comfortable.

Do you want to see my artwork? Well, I will show you anyway!

Effect of sickness and having too much free time.

Anyway, do you like my new blog banner?

Goth hairstyles ideas & inspirations

Hi! I decided to start writing about style and inspirations. I'll throw here a bunch of ideas of how to use your hair to express yourself (it sound soo super-artistic...) I believe that hairstyle is very important part of the look and can make even the whole outfit... so I hope this will be useful for you guys!

Colours

  • Black
This is quite obvious. Most classic, most popular and suits most people. It will match black clothes and also make your skin look more pale by contrast.
  • Colorful
You can dye your hair every existing colour, make streaks or even dye your head rainbow. I am a fan of especially purple and blue hair. Neon colours will match cyber/sweet styles and darker ones may be more romantic.
I think Iska is the master of colorful hair. Photo is from her Facebook
  • Natural
It's not necessary to dye hair at all. Natural hair works with most styles, especially romantic, victorian and casual. Light blonde, dark brown or red hair are pretty, but you can have any other colour.

Cuts/shapes
  • Bald
Because why not? If you like the look of Dementia from Addam's family, go for it.
  • Short
Works for both genders. Very classic for guys and kinda edgy for ladies.
  • Bob
Can be classic or asymetric. I had something like this for more than half of my life and I must admit I loved it. But wouldn't have courage to cut my long hair now.

  • Undercut
It got very popular recently. It can be on one side or both sides. I think shaved or dyed patterns look quite nice.
  • Long
Very popular, suitable for both genders again. Flowing super-long locks are always beautiful and look kinda mysterious.
Beautiful Mothmouth.
Fringe

You have plenty of options, really. It can be short, long, straight or side. You can have V-fringe that is quite popular. Or, of course, you can have no fringe at all.

Texture
  • Straight
Silky, straight hair wil look very nice. Can be both dressy and casual.
  • Curly
Thick curls/waves are very princess-like. Can look very romantic, but not only (think Mrs. Lovett...)
  • Dreads
A little more permanent change. They can look interesting, especially dyed some fancy colours. Dreadlocks and cyberlocks allow you to change the style depending on situation.
  • Big/Puffy
Big, teased hairstyles are most traidional and have its roots from punk. A lot of hairspray and teasing (ugh!) might be needed.
I think you know Robert Smith!

As you can see, you have a lot of options and really only thing that limits you is you imagination! Let me know what hairstyles do you have?
